Visionary and author Pastor Gerald D. Fountain, Sr. has a tremendous passion for God's Word combined with a sincere love for the people of God. His contagious spirit of generosity flows through every facet of his ministry. Having received his mandate from God, Pastor Fountain, obediently fulfills his calling as pastor of Rejoice Christian Center Ministries, a ministry which he founded in July 1992.
Pastor Gerald's journey to Christ is one of inspiration and hope. He is the 4th son of 9 children (two girls and seven boys) born to Ellis and Eva Fountain in South Boston, Virginia. Although Gerald grew up in church, he strayed away in his young adult life, but eventually found his way back. Although holding prominent positions in one of the largest churches in Richmond, VA., it was while attending a service at the True Apostolic Church of Christ that Gerald heard a salvation message and realized he needed to make his salvation sure. He received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of his life in 1983 under the ministry of Bishop Melvin Williams, Jr. He was baptized the same day.
In 1989, Gerald Fountain, Sr. heard and felt God's unmistakable call on his life to minister the Gospel. He desire to walk upright before God and be a righteous example before man led him to Faith Landmark Bible Institute where he attended and graduated with honors.
Pastor Fountain's vision is to aggressively reach out to those who are lost and hurting with the saving love of Jesus Christ. He pursues ministry with the goal to affect life-change in people through the power of God. Pastor Fountain's ministry style is practical, accurate biblical teaching that the hearer is able to incorporate in their everyday life.
